Hi all,

First of... I won't be able to build the PC myself due to lack of time and skills in that department to be totally honest.

My current system consists of a 2500k, 780gtx, 16gb ram in a fractal case which I would look to shift either in parts or as a whole.

I do not need a monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, headset or sound card.
I also don't need a second HD, just the primary SSD would suffice (at least 250Gb please).

I would like the PC to include a 980Ti and I would like to be as cool and quiet as possible.

Would you fine OC folks be able to assist?

You could even save yourself £80 by taking the 16GB of RAM from your current PC and installing it into this build. It's easy and takes 5 mins.

Overclockers charge anywhere from £60 and upwards to build a system depending on complexity

Do you definitely want to sell your current system? The 2500k is still strong, especially once overclocked and with a new GPU, SSD your system would have a new lease of life

Cheers. Do overclockers also assemble the above for a fee?
Also, are water cooled systems easy to maintain?

They can assemble it for you. You would need to ask in the Pre-Sales section or give them a link to this thread.

The water coolers such as the H110i GT are sealed units so they don't need any maintenance.

You can get the shopping cart plugin here that lets you post your basket - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18371076&highlight=browser

Is there anything wrong with your current pc by the way ? Going from an i5 2500K to an i5 4690K won't really give you any value for money. An i7 also doesn't benefit a huge deal for gaming (At the moment). For things like rendering/editing etc then it makes more sense.

It it quite loud and emits too much heat for my liking... and I keep having issues with the PC sometimes not booting correctly which then prompts Win7 to boot in Recovery mode which cannot be aborted due to my keyboard not working before the OS boots. I haven't got the knowledge or skills to troubleshoot what it is, I kind of suspect it is a power related issue but not sure...

Here is a complete list of my current PC:

Intel Core i5 2500K / 3.3 GHz - LGA1155 Socket
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) - Motherboard - ATX - LGA1155
MSI Geforce GTX 780 Gaming Edition 3072MB GDDR5
Corsair Professional Series Gold AX750
OCZ Vertex 3 Series 120 GB SSD
Thermalright HR-02 CPU cooler

Case:
Fractal Design Define R3
Fractal Design Silent Fan 140mm case fan
Thermalright TR TY-140mm case fan

Other stuff: LG BH10LS30 Super Multi Blue Ray drive

Cannot quite remember what make my 16GB of Ram are.

I am not keen on the case anymore but I really do not have the skills or time to re-case all of the above. Wish I had, would save me a lot of money! If anyone here does that kind of stuff (for a fee), that would be interesting to know.

hmm would be a shame to let all that go to waste, you could easily find out what component(s) are noisy and replace them. That is a solid build really so I would rather just re-house it in a new case. You could maybe find out if anyone local to you can help you out if you don't have the time.

That's the thing though. I don't even know where/how to start. Is there a sub-forum on here that would perhaps assist me in finding someone who could help?

I really like that H440 case by the way. Just a shame it would not provide space for my Blue Ray writer.

Try googling to find PC shops in your area that build computers, they might be able to transfer your parts into a new case for you.

Trying that. Not a lot of shops near me that I would trust with something like that. Especially switching to water cooling. I reckon I could possibly raise about £500 by selling all the components of the PC above.

Does overclockers have a trade/sell forum or do people just chuck their stuff on ebay usually?

they do but only for members with 1000+ posts

Try making a post in the general thread in the forum giving a details description of the problems your having and the parts and some people might have some suggestions for ya to try and get it fixed before ya sell it.

If I were you and not wanting to build myself then I would ask OC if they can reuse your CPU etc add better GFX and any other lower end component then build custom water cooling. Will cost you less for a better result in my opinion.

What resolution you running, if its 1080p and you're only gaming an i7 or X99 is a huge waste of money.

Also where in the country are you?

Do they do that? How would I arrange that? I live in Berkshire, near Reading. I am running at 1440p by the way.

Sorry for potentially using necromancy on this thread but I figured it is better than creating a new one as the core topic is still the same, I want to get a new PC potentially.

Now I actually LOVE the way this one looks:

"Ultima IceWind" Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.4GHz Watercooled Gaming PC

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-446-OE&groupid=43&catid=2474&subcat=2481

Is that good value for money or am I better off asking Overclockers to build me a new PC based on handpicked parts such as the ones suggested above from other people?
I think I will definitely get that case though!
