To be fair, you could get essentially the same performing build for around £300 less than what I've specced. I just wanted to spec a pretty build :D

To save cash, drop to the i5 4690k (don't *need* an i7 for gaming), get a standard SSD (not an m.2, though that particular drive is silly fast), Drop the LEDs and the sleeved PSU cables, move to a cheaper PSU (plenty of viable options around the £60 mark), get a smaller and cheaper cooler (prolimatech 81?), drop down to a more budget motherboard and go for cheaper case fans.

Love the colours on that board! Colours aside is it a good performer? I think I want the Gigabyte G1 980ti because I heard it is so quiet even under heavy load.

Would love a combo of white and ice blue in general!

The palit is cheaper, quieter and performs within a couple of fps of the G1. I can speak first-hand on the quietness of the Palit- I'm running one in my main rig and even at full load with a moderate overclock, it's practically inaudible.

I could try a blue and white spec lol, my old bitfenix rig was blue and white, looked classy.

It should fit in without issue. Here's my attempt at a blue and white build. Bear in mind the cooler comes with dye for the fluid, so it wouldn't be red as it is in the image.

I have no idea what palit's support is like as I've never used them, but I noticed they do tend to offer longer warranties than other manufacturers. I know their reference cooled cards come with a 5 year warranty - I think the super jetstream comes with 3 years

Another case you can consider is the Fractal Design R5, which also comes in black or white.

P.s What are you going to do with your current PC? Selling it could be an option so you can at least re-coup some money, it's not a bad build after all.

Might as well as it's only a few weeks away, not that it's going to offer much of an improvement anyway, but better to buy the latest tech right :p

By the way, when you order a system and ask OC to build it, do they do the cabling really nicely and can you also ask them to do some "modding" like switch different coloured PSU cables in etc?
