as a pay as you go user for many years im finaly sick of it and now that ive got a job i can get a contract phone :O

im only looking to spend around £25 / month and im open to any network as long as the deal is GOOD.

so far ive looked around o2 and vodaphone (i don't know many others... never been a big mobile phone user but finding im needing one more and more )

i *think* the best deal ive found so far is from vodafone, and im already with them so may be able to keep my current number :?

im pretty clueless with this kinda thing so any help would be great !

im looking for about 250 txts' and 250 mins

cheers
Rick

I'm wiith Vodafone on their Anytime 200 tariff. It's an 18 month contract that consists of:

200 anytime mins
250 texts
Stop The Clock

However, i bought this contract last summer before Vodafone introduced their 'Extras' system.
I'm not sure whether you get the same or more as i have got with their new tariffs.

i'm on £25 a month with orange, I get a windows smartphone (SPV C600), 850 texts and 150 minutes, along with a magic number

edit: 18 months :)

for £30 a month i get

500 free texts and 200free minutes

thats with vodaphone

think it was the carphone warehouse, they offered me 40 quid for that and i had to pay 80 for the phone, i was havin none of it and got it down to a free D900 and 30 squid a month

Bit of advice for anyone looking for a contract, dont accept what they offer you first, they are like car salesmen, will try and get the most out of you for the least amount of service.

barter away!

just ordered off vodafone

d900 phone, talk 200, 250 texts, stop the clock, 3 months half price, and 10% discount a month for ever

works out about £25.50p a month

on a second note ive been looking at virgin mobile deals, and they have some canny ones, and i like the look of the black berry phone... what are they like ?

Orange

1000 text
100 minutes

£25/month 12month

They dont really know if its a 12 month or 18month contract though and they are being complete dicks about it at the moment. I just asked what would be the best contract for when I go travelling and they said the cheapest line rental they have per month is £25!!

That will be a retentions deal, for existing customers - not something you will be able to gain yourself at the start of a contract.

Why he posted that in here is anyones guess.. willy waving anyone?

As you've already noticed, for around £25pm I think Virgin offer the best deals currently.

Mobileshop.com is where I got mine, the equivalent of £26.50 a month on vodaphone (D900) for 500 mins and 1000 texts.
Not lost a signal yet and my house phone bill is pretty much non existant because i'm using my mobile all the time.

Direct from 02 online I got 750 anytime x network minutes and 750 texts for £35 per month. IIRC i also get 50% rollover per month too.

This was on a 18 month contract that is about to end.
