Hi guys,

As per title really, looking to turn an older 250GB SATA-II drive into a 'portable' HDD. I presumed this was possible via a caddy, am I correct in thinking so? Also, what would my choices be? Cheaper the better, as long it works I'm not too bothered haha - its going to be thrown into my suitcase and then connected to a TV via a notebook, so doesn't need to be anything fancy.

Cheers!

They're all pretty much of a muchness these days. Just be aware that it won't be as portable as a 2.5" caddy, all 3.5" ones have to be mains powered.

That is something I wasn't aware of. Perhaps I'll look out for a second hand 2.5" drive then. Thanks!
