My friend wants a laptop and I got there just in time- she was going to buy a Dell! Anyway, she is looking for a £400 laptop to use for just about everything as well as playing Sims. I like the look of the Lenovo G555, 2Gb RAM, 500Gb HDD. Is this a good choice and please make suggestions!

First off there is nothing wrong with Dell, however if she can stretch her budget that tiny bit higher I would suggest the HP G62-105SA I recently bought one for my sister and I will be getting another real soon for my girlfriend, it is a superb machine, not as bigger HDD but better processor and more ram.
Would the onboard graphics of that be able to cope with something like playing Sims? It does look like a nice spec laptop though.
As shadow_boxer above said, have a gander through Dell's outlet store. You may find a cracking deal in there.
I'll take a look. The reason I dont like Dell is because I have had a few of their high-end laptops overheat on me. They send a repair guy round who installed a new motherboard and made a horrible mess of the cooling system. Went again a few months later while it was out of warrenty. Same story with both. And also because Dell uses lower quality parts in their desktops and make it almost impossible to upgrade anything in their desktops. Probably me being old-fahioned!
I'll take a look on the outlet store, I suppose becuase I won't be getting a gaming laptop I won't get the same issues.

Hi there
Look at OcUK range, we have some incredible deals on at the moment on gaming, CULV and high-end laptops at hugely discounted prices due to been open box. Have a look and see if you see something you like.
The Sony's are very very nice, full warranty, just open box.
If your quick enough we have some Acer Gemstones with NVIDIA graphics which are like £250 cheaper than anywhere else, but only 2 left.
