Guys,

I haven't lost very much data over the years due to having a good backup routine/solution.

Recently however my storage needs have gone up, and now i find myself only backing up the really important stuff.

Server - 3 drives
Drive1 Partition 1 O/S (3.57 free of 30GB)
Drive1 Partition 2 Music, Software, Photos (341 free of 435GB)
Drive2 Recorded TV (116 free of 465GB)
Drive3 Movies (544 free of 931GB)

Laptop1 - 1 drive
Drive 1 (204 free of 286GB)

Laptop2 - 1 drive
Drivd 1 (86 free of 149GB)

So, I would like to be able to backup all this data, what would be the best and most cost effective solution as it is pretty certain at some point i will have a drive failure and will loose lots.

Thanks

Burn the really important stuff that doesn't change much to DVD and keep them safe.

Then get a drive thats big enough for what you want, like a 1TB or maybe even less.. your total data doesn't seem that huge.

Well your options are:
1)Buy online storage and move everything to there where it will be kept safe by a server.........
2)Buy a 1tb or 2tb hdd and stick it in a external enclosure and back up everything to that
3)Burn everything to dvds or blu-rays as they can store a lot more.

buy a NAS with RAID 1 and 2 2tb drives. Then you have full redundancy and all your data will be available on the network (don't worry you can password protect your *stuff* folder)
