I just acquired my 2nd big bike. It's a Suzuki GSX-R750 K7 in grey/black.

The guy I got it from said it had been standing for a while and that the battery was ferkled, which having now got the bike I can confirm.

Could someone recommend me a good battery as a replacement please?

I really have no idea what works best these days. I'm reading all sorts about gel, nitro etc.

Cheers :)

Hmmm could try using two pieces of hard card pushes either side to hopefully stop it going it anymore and push the middle part with a screwdriver.

As for a battery you can go wrong with a Yuasa :)

I'm sure you meant CAN'T but thought I'd double check :)

As for the rivet... the pin came out entirely :( I have the insert bit but the pin dropped inside the bike. I don't think it went into the fairing. Looking at where it fits on the frame, which is hollow with the odd opening here and there, it appears to have fallen down inside that. I can't find an opening on the bottom anywhere so I assume short of me turning the bike upside down and giving it a shake it's stuck there?

Yep yep :)

I need to see if I get on with a full sports riding position before deciding whether or not to sell the ER-6f.

I'll do a few long rides on the Gixxer and see if I get any new aches n pains etc :)

You almost certainly will initially, but you get used to it quite quickly, especially when you learn not to rest your weight onto your wrists. The GSXR is a relatively comfortable bike as sports bikes go.

Was finally able to afford insurance today so took her out for a blast.

Very weird at first after the ER-6f. Felt like I was being tipped over the front. I settled in pretty quickly though :)

43 miles later and my left wrist was in pain. Right wrist was ok strangely, maybe due to it already having a couple of years of throttle control on it.

Anything I can do to help the left wrist or do I just need to put the hours in? :)
