So i'm holding a BBQ for about 20 people and i don't own a BBQ. I don't want to go out and buy a massive £600 BBQ when a £100 one will be fine.

I'm after a charcoal one, not gas.

Been looking at these:

These 2 are my favourite at the moment.

Also has anyone used these and/or think they are worth it?

Thanks.

IT's not the bbq that makes the man it's the marinade and the cooking xD

only ever built my own bbq so soz can't help

They're not very big ( and quite expensive ) if you plan to cook meat for 20 people. Get 2 £50 ones ? ;)

I think you are overpaying on both of those.

Out of those I would choose the Weber and if you don't have one already a side table to use for prep/serving.

That's still quite a lot for a bbq you'll use a couple of times a year.

I'd go for something like this:

Never write off the laminated book of dreams :p

Looking at the reviews its quite common for the grill to bend in the middle and the metal sides seem very flimsy.

Last thing i'd want is for the grill to fold in the middle and the food to ruin.

I recently got this one from B&Q: Clicky

For £50 it's an absolute steal. I cooked for 15 people on it when we had summer a couple of weeks ago and had no problems. The ash catching thing makes it a doddle to clean out as well.

That Argos one is brilliant and at half price you won't find a better BBQ for the money - get it bought.

I abused the **** out of it for 3 years with dozens of BBQs, left it out in the rain etc and it was fine, god knows what people must be doing to bend the grill

It's actually surprisingly sturdy and is great for cooking for groups of people.

Regardless though it's 36 quid ffs! Bargain!

We've got that one - it's good for cooking but the warming rack has a tendency to turn over and dump your food! Was never a problem until the other day when we were cooking loads of sausages for a street party and it got loaded up.

Great other than that though.

I remember a thread about BBQs a few years ago and everyone was saying to get a Weber as they are coated with something and last forever. Or is this no longer the case?

We have been through loads of cheap BBQs over the years and I was thinking of paying the extra and getting a Weber so we can just leave it outside and forget about it and it should last.

Just had a quick look and you can get a 57cm one for £76 - http://www.bbqs2u.co.uk/weber-compact-bbqs/21-weber-compact-bbq-57.html

Comes with a 10 year warranty
