Spec me a Below £500 Computer

my apologies i left the case in there from last spec :) I'll change in a min

EDIT: just use one in other spec, but the footprint will be much bigger.

Sorry, was in the middle of some Starcraft games so couldn't correct.

Can use the spec i've done but will need to change the case to ATX, like the one Andy has specced for example.

If you want a smaller case though your better off with something that can go in mATX or ITX.

Thanks for the help guys, so i have taken ideas from each post and have come up with this:

Does this all look ok? i know its a little over budget but it seems to have all that ill need. Can you confirm it is all compatible, will fit in the case and nothing is missing?

Also, if i have made some crazy budget errors and im paying ott for something i dont need, please let me know.

Personally, Id swap the i5 OEM version for the retail version, as IIRC you get 3 years Warranty with the retail version (one year with the OEM). Retail version also comes with a cooler, so that will also allow you to remove the extra cooler you have.

Other than that, it looks fine to me :)

I have that case too, wonderful to build in!

EDIT: All cables etc will come with the motherboard/powersupply etc...

If you put
in front and behind your url it'll display the actual image in the post :)

I would suggest this PSU, as its much better quality, although it's not modular. The ram is faster and cheaper and the SSD is also better but it's out of stock unfortunately :(

And as Indie said just get the Retail version and use the stock cooler :)

That looks interesting. Would it fit though? Looks like an ATX build?
 
Is overclocking something you are likely to do?

If so you might want a Z77 board to allow you this option. Otherwise save some money and don't bother with the K series processor and just get a standard 3570.

Is there any reason you've gone for a Ivy Bridge build over Haswell?

Pretty sure you could do the same thing with Haswell for less?
