I'm a big fan of Metamorphosis, The Castle, and my favourite book ever - The Trial.

I love Graham Greene too, esp. his Ministry of Fear. And John Fowles' "The Magus" - superb 60s paranoia.

Maybe a difficult question - but anything similar?

Anything by Jorge Luis Borges normally translates into a very kafka-esque experience, especially "Death and the Compass".

As already suggested, Borges and Camus

You should also have a look at Bulgakov's work, especially Heart of a Dog.
