I need your help, my dad says i have had his laptop for far too long and he wants it back at his house, and my mrs has told me to get my arse it gear and get a new computer organised lol
Apologies to people who have specced me one before. This time it is going to happen, and i intend to purchase the next few days.
Despite working for pc 2000 ( who were business partners with overclockers and millennium computers back in the day) about 12 years ago, and building hundreds of computers every week, i havnt now built a computer for about 10 years so i am sooo out of touch and have no idea of current specs and what fits with what
The computer is going to be situated in the living room and connected to our dated Sony kdl40d300 40" lcd tv via hdmi, i intend not to buy a monitor, so the motherboard obviously needs a hdmi output which i gather most now do, (will the picture look correct on the tv??)
I like the idea of an i5, but dont know if i really ned to oc it, i wont really be playing any of the latest games, so an onboard graphics card will do. A good sized hard drive and an adverage amout of memory will suffice.
I have a black glass tv stand, so the computer could be in a black htpc case on a shelf or standing alongside. I need wireless connectivity to connect to my router, a dvd rw and a copy of windows 7. I also thinking of a wireless keyboard and mouse.
My budget is £500 -600
Whats your thoughts??
Thanks Mark
