Hey there,

Can you spec me a build for £800

I already have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 480 "Special Edition" 1536MB GDDR5 and a 128gb OCZ Vertex 4 and a 24" Samsung Syncmaster.

PC for playing games, office work, web designing and generally as an all rounder.

Would like to go for i7 and a minimum of 16GB ram though If I can squeeze 32 Gb in so much the better. Oh would also like a corsair h80/100 (or similar as I here the H80 and H100 have some issues). Corsair power supply too.

Lastly I have my eye on a 2gb or 3gb Seagate SATA III drive for my data.

I hope thats not too hard...

Thanks

I'm liking Idleman's spec but I would personally drop the RAM to 16GB, and you can then fit a nice SSD in there. RAM is easier and less hassling to upgrade than moving to an SSD.

Just want to say thanks to all
Do you think 600W PSU is enough?
I was also thinking of adding my 2 existing hard drives and chucking in an optical drive.

im thinking towards the i7-3820 3.60GHz (Sandybridge-E). Seems clockable to 4.4 and still stays cool. That could be my starting point. Need to look at mobos next. Why are socket 2011 boards so expensive?
