hi, not been around here for ages, i've been into the world of macs for a couple of years now so i'm so far out of touch with pcs its unreal(vista was just released when i last had one lol) as you can see from my sig.
anyway i trod on my ladys netbook and cracked the screen
so she has decided she wants a desktop now so i'm gonna have to build one(built a few in the past so im ok with that) but i have no idea what cpu or anything to go for.
all it needs to do tbh is run the internet/youtube etc for her, i might use it for the odd bit of playing videos(720p) as i'm going to hook it upto the tv in the spare room.
so nothing demanding really, just not sure mainly on the cpu do i got for an i3 or stick with the core2duo range are amd any good now for low end stuff(last amd i had was an athlon years ago)
only thing i do insist on is a quiet/silent set up.
