4850 is a fair bit behind the 5770 considering this is a gaming build

I am keeping to the £500 budget and not exceeding it though. I would agree that the HD5770 does have the edge but unless I were to exceed the budget I could not include it. Also this is an HD4850 1GB vs an HD5770 512MB as opposed to an HD5770 1GB vs an HD4850 512MB. The only comparisons I have seen are of the latter.

If the OP only wants a gaming rig & wont need it for anything else they could maybe consider this. Its got more storage than whats been posted so & but the CPU is up to the job for gaming but maybe not much else. An iv keep it all under budget at £496 inc delivery.............If your are lucky you might be able to unlock the CPU BUT dont bank on it

This build's pretty good, but ideally for the Antec 200 case, it should get at least 1 more 120mm fan for use as front fan (since the case itselfs only comes with a top and rear fan). Also and semi-decent CPU cooler such as the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 if budget allows:

Also if considering the possibility of upgrading CPU Quad-cores and/or graphic card in the future, may be should considering getting at 500/550W PSU instead of a 400W.

Didnt know about it not having a front fan, so yeah maybe the OP could get one if they wanted that case otherwise there are a number of similar priced cases to pick from if they wanted to.

I 100% agree with you about the PSU, as not knowing how flexible the OP budget is i made sure every thing inc P&P was under the £500. But for £6 more they could get this OCZ StealthXStream 500w PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-026-OC
