I want to get into HDR... can someone help me find a camera?
Do I need anything else other than a camera for HDR?
I don't want to spend too much as this is just my first camera...
Speaking as a complete photography noob who has recently ventured into the hobby I would advise you to look at photography in general before focusing on a particular style.
Photography is more than just a matter of going *point* and *click* when dealing with arcane matters like HDR, you need to have a solid grounding in many photographic concepts to be able to come up with a great photo, let alone a stunning HDR image.
As has been posted in this forum recently, HDR images are there to help you photograph scenes where there is a huge brightness difference between parts of the scene.
If you were to focus on the bright part, the dark part will be underexposed and if you focus on the dark part the lighter part of the scene will be overexposed.
HDR allows you to take a photo of the dark area, the medium lit parts and the lightest parts of the image correctly.
You then use software to merge the three images together so that all three correctly exposed parts of the image (shadows, midtones and highlights if I understand correctly) are in the image for the viewer to enjoy.
By all means enjoy photography, but it isn't so easy as the consumer cameras make it out to be.
