Spec me a Cisco Virtual Environment so I can learn

Looks ok but I'd go for 3 routers as dynamic routing will be a bit clearer to understand if you have 3 and can see the routing updates being forwarded etc.
It's also worth using serial links between the routers because they're configured differently. Which you will need to be able to do. Clocking, encapsulation, authentication etc.

You should be able to download the Lab files for specific CCNA labs that you just open in packet tracer and it sets the hardware up for you appropriate for the lab objectives.

I'd pop in a 3 tiered Ethernet Core/Distri/Access switches to play with STP. Probably want to add another router connected through serial, too.

A good place to start is STP, as it teaches you redundancy. You can then learn RSTP and RSTP+.

A guy called Yap Hoong has a great CCNA manual you can download free of charge.

Thanks for this :) I still have this project saved. But just been so busy getting things ready to move in to our new DC tomorrow! Will update with progress on
This lab

Subscribed. Always fancied doing CCNA but have never needed it work wise, and don't fancy slashing out on a paid up course

I did the course and still ended up re-studying on my own as there were some things my course just didnt cover. I used Sybex CCNA book, TrainSignal videos and visited techexams forum regularly.

Sybex is another great resource.

If possible just ***** £400 on second hand routers/switches. The physical interaction is unbeatable.
