Hi,

I've used Parcel2go before to send alloys and they seemed very good. I'm looking at buying a set of OEM alloys on the bay as they look like there's a chance they might go for a bargain price as I've got two of my identical OEM alloys which need not only a refurb but possibly a chuck welded back into them after the missus decided to use a high kerb in Edinburgh as a marker to tell her when she was close enough to the side of the road. The cost of purchasing a set of used and unmarked wheels would appear to be less expensive than having a good refurb carried out.

Anyway, seller has specified local pick up only but after messaging him he said that he would be happy to have a courier to collect as long as I organise it all.

I'm assuming he will need to package the wheels to some degree?. Any recommendations, just use Parcel2go again or maybe if anyone has done this recently they could recommend me a good mob?.

Thanks in advance. :)

They will definitely need to package them.

Like you, I've used Parcels2go in the past to send them.

Thanks folks. The Paisleyfreight list looks good, there's no tyres, just the rims themselves so it looks like £32.50 for 4 x 19" wheels. Not bad at all.

I've used Paisley freight to send wheels before, just tell the seller to wrap each wheel in a black bin liner with cardboard facing the front of the alloy. Should be all good ;)

Used them many times before for both items and alloy wheels.
For the rims i'd be inclined to ask the seller at least wraps them separately in bubblewrap or something to ensure it's nicely protected during loading and unloading.

Do Not use parcel monkeys. They're...monkeys.

I used paisley freight 3 weeks ago for a set of wheels. Collected from me fine, and delivered to the guys house the next day. All for £30. That was the 4th time I've used them for various items, only had bother once but that was all sorted at the time.

For packing the rims, I covered the faces (front and back) on each wheel with cardboard. Paisley freight charge for a set of 4 wheels anyway, so do them all seperate.

I started a thread a while ago asking similar - ended up using Paisley Freight (TNT was the actual courier). Happy with the price and was fairly painless and they arrived as expected. As mentioned, package well with something like bubble wrap, perhaps with bin bags and cardboard on faces.

What wheels are they as I have a set on Ebay for collection only & the Dude has messaged me asking if he can send a courier. :p

Read other posts, they're 19's so not mine.
