Anyone?

sick of them breaking, either the rivets break or the metal frame snaps:( i want one as tough as Arnold Schwarzenegger and can blow like a good un :D

I've got a Joe Blow cycling track pump, does the job well and means you're not stood there for hours jumping up and down on a foot pump that will eventually bend into an unrecognisable mangle of monkey metal.

Yep, I use a decent cycle track pump. They're made for pumping skinny road tyres up to 100+psi so unless you're filling a tyre from flat they'll be more than capable.

Want to know also.
I bought a Michelin one for about £20 a few weeks back that I have now returned for refund due to not fitting on the bloody valve proper.
I bought it due to also getting fed up of cheapo pumps that bend.

I have a cheap twin cylinder Clarke foot pump from Machine Mart, does the job and flexes a bit when pumping, just like Arnold. ;) :p

I personally wouldn't bother - Fit a Hella 12v and get an electric pump, or if this is for home use (as most bikes won't fit a foot pump under the seat) then a large compressor.

Don't they do any 12v that also plug into the wall?

Might look at the Clarke ones jp,mine was a twin cylinder one as well, but the rivet had broken from the frame and you can't pump it now

I want to pump it like arnold

I bought a Beto upright pump for the Bike. My brother was so impressed with it he bought one to carry in his car.
Just takes a little to get used to. Unlike foot pumps, the locking lever needs to be flat to fit and upright to seal. The opposite way to normal.
Cost around £13 from what I remember.

If you do find something please let me know as I want one as well. Every new foot pump I've seen uses the same thin bendy steel and useless riveted construction. Even the expensive Michelin double barrel foot pump has the structural rigidity of a wet paper bag, not to mention the most retarded locking mechanism I've ever seen.

A proper old fashioned style pump is needed.

Bicycle pumps don't tend to move enough volume for large car tyres, it would take forever to inflate a flat with one.

Just buy something like a Silverline Jump Starter & Air Compressor friend and I have one similar been going for 15 years or so last for ever and cost next to nothing.

The pressure guage is **** on them but I use with another more reliable gauge.

I want a proper manual footpump like wazza. I've got a jump pack with a compressor which is ok sometimes but it's slow, noisy and inevitably flat when I want to use it.

Searching on google this isn't an uncommon question, so I'm a little surprised that no-one seems to make a quality foot pump.

I've been looking at the 12v pump ones on Amazon, there's one that on the reviews says it inflates quick, that and a cigarette to battery connector

I'll post links when I'm on pc,I've gone through at least 4 or 5 manual footpumps in last few years

Mines on constant trickle charge from a little solar panel on the window ledge.

It is true not seen a mans foot pump in years when you go all psychotic on a modern foot pump they fall apart total crap.

Probably.
I only suggested a Hella 12v one, as you can get some decent, motorcycle-intended pumps that inflate in 2-3mins from flat and will still fit under a fair few seats. Need to have the engine running, usually, but also works on li-los and all that other inflatable camping stuff that bikers seem to have at rallies these days.

I have a part permanent wired cig socket on my other bike which I take to rallies for beds pillows e.t.c friend of mine is very generous with his power people borrow his pump for beds e.t.c he can not stand some one struggling with a foot pump drives him crazy I say "Wait a little longer until the swearing starts" :D

I have the Joe Blow as mentioned in first reply. It works brilliantly. It's the sport2 version, yellow and black like a bumble bee.

I tried using my ring:eek: 12v compressor on the bike 12v outlet and popped a fuse after about 30 seconds.
Would much rather have a foot pump tbh.

My zzr will run an rac 12v compressor with out breaking a sweat none of this keep the bike running nonsense as well.
