I've got a BluePoint general service set, which has a large selection of 3/8" drive stuff.
It's got 6-24mm in shallow 6-sided, plus in deep 12-sided, plus a selection of torx bits. A 3", 6" and 12" extension, ratchet, knuckle bar, screwdriver style handle, plus universal joint and a couple of spark-plug sockets.
My dad's got the same set, and uses his all the time when he's working at home, and has lasted longer than some other sets he's had (Britool, Teng) - only outlasted by his Snap-On tools at work.
My next addition will be a set of 1/2" drive sockets, so I don't need to use my 3/8" with an adapter on my 2.5ft 1/2" drive Snap-On breaker bar or my torque wrench
Plus, I need to get a decent set of spanners - but I've got a couple of mis-matched ones in the "usual" sizes I use - 8, 10, 12, 14, 17mm anyway
I've also just got myself now (well, birthday present!) a 3 ton Sealey trolley jack
