Hey GD,

Getting fed up with my tall and rubbish desk so I am in the market for a new one :) Requirements are:

  • Depth: no bigger than 65cm
  • Height: 70cm - 75cm
  • Length: 100cm - 120cm

Budget is £100 but can go over by about £10.
My current desk is a DIY build and I don't want to go down that route again. I would like to put my PC on the desk because the dust is terrible on the floor :)

Cheers :)
(mods: if this needs to be in another forum, then please move it)

Im also looking to buy a desk with the same specs. I went to Ikea today and I really liked the look of the Galant (especially the corner one). I also came across the Fredrik which wasnt bad at all.

Bog standard Ikea Fredrick. Have one in black myself, nice and deep with a handy cable conduit too

Lol Ikea specs

Good to know
Holds an up to 19" monitor.
May be completed with FREDRIK drawer for extra storage space.

I have a 24" TFT and my PC in a Fractal XL case, about 35kg worth on mine. Steady as a rock

This desk has the specifications of 85cm minimum depth when assembled but in the package size, the depth is only 66cm? Why has it got more depth out of the box? Is it because of the pull out drawer(I wouldn't use it btw)?

No, especially as they say that it "Holds up to a 19" monitor."

Most folks have a larger one than that these days.

It can hold a larger monitor, perhaps that 19" refers to when it has those stand things on it and the 19" is referring to how high the monitor can be to fit in the stand.

I have the same desk and it's 85cm depth and 135cm when you have the pull out panel fully extended.
