Hey there, just bought a new vox amp, my first valve amp and I love it.

The only thing I have a against it is that the built in effects aren't great.

I play a lot of U2 and so need digital delay. I've been using guitarFX on the pc for my effects, but what I'm after is a hardware based device that can give me delay effect.

The things that are required from it is upto 2 seconds delay and also to be able to select a specific delay time. For example I want to be able to set the time to 330ms or 450ms so analog knobs probably wont do. The feedback can be controlled by a knob as I know I only need 3 repeats.

I'm willing to pay upto £150 for it.

Ig there are any guitarists that can recommend me anything I would be very grateful. :D

I was thinking the DD-20 actually. I'm only interested in the quick times, so 27s is overkill, but still...it does look awesome. :p

I have the Digitech Hardwire DL-8 Stereo delay pedal, I bought it in the 'states for $145 when I was over there. (£130 here!)

Fantastic pedal with lots of settings, and most importantly true bypass on it - if you switch the pedal off then it's completely transparent, doesn't affect the tone at all.

I like the Boss pedals but I find them a bit too tone-sucking, especially if you've got a few in a row. I imagine with 1 or 2 it's not a problem, but if you've got a nice Vox valve amp you want all the tone you can get from your guitar!
