Hi all

I have a Lian Li PC7 Plus running 3x120mm fans (one for the CPU), and have come from using an Antec Solo (a heavy steel case with sound proofing) with 1x120mm fan, so you can understand I feel things are a bit noisy right now!

So, I'd like to turn down my fans and adjust them accordingly. How do I go about this and how do these controllers work? Do you plug the fans into them and then adjust them by twiddling a knob?

Cheers :)

yeah can be dial or switch controlled.

i've got the same case and i'm running a zalman ZM-MFC1 plus, does the job, connection is either via the 3-pin fan connector or, from what i can see, the fans can be wired to connectors on the unit.

Was it a big job?

did your PC7 come with molex adapters for the 3pin fan headers, just whack em onto the mobo and you should be able to adjust the speed with sppedfan or something.
They currently are plugged into my motherboard (CHA1/CHA2).

nope, pop one of the front pieces out slot it in, 4 screws secure it in place then connect up the fans.

if you have dvd drive(s) they may be worth removing them first so you have a clear site of where to connect the fans too.

Also the one i mentioned requries a 4 pin power connector, think its the one normally used to power a floppy drive, not the 4 pin molex type.

I am considering getting a fan controller as well and I think I am going to go with the SilverStone FP52B as it seems really good and not too expensive but unfortunatly OcUK doesnt sell it :(
