So I think I've finally exhausted my film collection to the point I know half the films back to front.

I just recently finished watching Princess Mononoke which was absolutely stunning, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a film similar to that, that would be easy to obtain.
I have a lot of other Studio Ghibli films, so preferably a different production house or director preferred :)

haven't seen Princess Mononoke so I dunno what it's like but I thought Metropolis was very charming to watch

[this is in the wrong section btw]

IBTM.

Completely different to anything else you'll see, and that's Riding Giants. Awesome documentary on the history of big-wave surfing. Watch it! Now!

I've watched quite a few Gillible films, Princess Mononoke is the lesser "weird" types and fairly easy to understand.

Watched these..

My Neighbour Toroto
Spirited Away
Castle In the Sky
Howl's Moving Castle
Kiki's Delivery Service.

Sad to say I loved "My Neighbour Toroto" and "Kiki's Delivery Service"

OP, you'd be much better off asking for similar titles to Mononoke in the anime thread. That said monocole over these:

My Neighbour Totoro
Castle in the Sky
Porco Rosso
Spirited Away

If you fancy some manga style films which incorporate stupendously amazing CGI, I really recommend Sky Blue - it's such an awesome film! Visuals and sound are stunning with a really cool story behind it, escapism at its best especially if you like post-apocalyptic stuff.

Appleseed is another good'un from the same genre :) .

Do you mean Metropolis, as in the only 1920's film ?

If so then it is a piece of artwork to watch!, but dire to follow, as it is missing around 40% of the actual film due to dating etc..

It really does have some clever cameraing for a film of its time!
