Spec Me A Fun But Quality Hatch

As seeing as so this has been bumped, I'll do the courteous thing and update everyone;

Started increasing my budget and looking at Audi S3s, then just sat back one day and realised gone are the days of me putting so much of my disposable income in to cars and I'd rather have a new 65" TV, holidays, disposable income etc etc.

I'm now looking at something cheaper, either a EP3 Type-R or FN2 Type-R. High revving N/A, small and fun. Bet you didn't see that coming? :D I do less than 4000 miles a year and mostly town driving. I used to own an EP3 and although it wasn't fast or particularly comfortable, it was raw and fun but suitable enough for a daily driver. Off to try out an FN2 today.

182's arnt built for their luxuriousness but they are a LOT of fun, good on fuel and nip along when you need them to :). Ive had my 172 since 20k, on 195k now and never once have i had a problem.

that generation of C class is absolutely terrible in the reliability stakes - they're also pretty boring to drive.

Try the FN2 and see what you think, tbh the main benefit it has over the EP3 is that it's a bit newer that's all I can really see that's a benefit. I don't however agree with the top gear esque view that the FN2 ruined the Civic Type R just because of the rear suspension, it's still a great motor.

I love mine, enough room for my bike at the weekends and she just does as she's told.

She is due a service badly, but will have to wait a few weeks, been cheap to run so far.

Plus everyone thinks its 'just' a clio, except from the odd few who are like "oooo a Clio Sport....nice :) "
