So i posted about upgrading my graphics card, based on replies and some digging around, I've decided to build a new machine. my current spec is:
amd 8350 4.0ghz
radeon r390
15gb ram
i think its an msi 970 main board

i play things like battlefield, assassins creed, oculus rift, basically all sorts of games. my sound card is external, i have optical drives but i will need an SSD and most likely a new standard hdd aswell for game storage.

£1000 really is the limit on this one

thanks in advance

so far my spec is an intel core i5 9600k 4.6, a asus ROG strix z390-F mobo and
team group vulcan t-force 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 pc4-24000c16 3000mhz ram

this comes in a bundle with a free 240gb ssd for £549.89

£30 more, 512gb vs 240gb . also the better board, even though its Gigabytes basic brand and not the aorus . VRM ste up is 10+2 on Gigabyte , Asus is 4/8

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £583.92 (includes shipping: £0.00)

whats your current PSU/Case and monitor res/hz ? without that bit hard to judge . below is adding rtx 2060 and HDD to the mix - also you'd need a good cooler as well !

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £996.90 (includes shipping: £0.00)

going full AMD with Ryzen 2600x and vega 64 ( https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/nvidia_rtx_2060_review/13 ) - roughly same power or more power as RTX 2060

leaves enough for a decent 650/750w PSU if you havent got one to power the Vega and Ryzen 2600x comes with a good stock cooler

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £892.90 (includes shipping: £0.00)

*Gigabyte has UK RMA and rep on here :) Windforce Vega is one of the cheapest and 12+1 vrm design, rest are 6/7+1 .

hi thanks for the reply. ive got a 128gb ssd that i use for os stuff, might even upgrade that later. i use a 1tb to store games. ive got a bluray drive and a corsair carbide case this one
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...ower-gaming-case-cc-9011050-ww-ca-174-cs.html

ive got a EVGA 600W ATX Power Supply

im leaning more towards intel atm

whats your monitor your currently gaming on ?

happen to know the model of EVGA unit ?

also that case, can handle max 150mm tall air coolers - most are 160mm and only able to handle 120mm AIO/CLC at the back
