Spec me a gaming system for £1250 including VAT

As title states. £1250 all in please to include monitor (24" preferable). Main use is playing games as well as watching films and listening to music. Would also like to connect to Xbox360 and PS3 at some point.

Would also want a system that is fairly quiet. Thanks.
 
Will you be overclocking?

EDIT: If so, this would be a decent choice if you need a lot of storage. The small disks are for a RAID 0 array. The large disk is for storage.

I won't be overclocking. Do you think the 8800GT will handle 1920x1200?

Will the Samsung monitor have the connections for the consoles also? I was quite taken with the Hyundai monitor although it is dearer.

PowerDemon your spec looks pretty good, though what is Penryn compatibility like with the EVGA 680i mobo? Also how does the OCZ psu compare to the Corsair HX?
