We have been very generously given £200 to buy ourselves a BBQ as a house warming gift, so not knowing anything about BBQs, I turn to the font of OcUK knowledge.

We don't do massive parties where we'd need to do 50 burgers at once or anything, so quality over quantity would be my preference. I've looked at a couple on Homebase's website, but I honestly have no idea what I'm looking for.

Help!

Thanks gents, and yes, while coal would be ideal, for our purposes gas is just going to be easier. I did see the Outback stuff at Homebase and thought it seemed like a lot of bang for buck, but wondered what the catch was (ie, is it a cheapo piece of rubbish). This sort of thing:

but I had no idea what price to expect on the cylinder so I think the charbroil one linked above sounds like a good shout

Also, what the hell is this TRU Infrared that I see plastered on some BBQs?

Right, good to know that the outback stuff is decent quality. Now I just need to decide whether I want a massive 3 burner or whether I want something a bit more compact

Just to update, I got an outback 2 burner (excel 310and a 10kg cylinder for about £170. I've yet to assemble it as I've been crazy busy this weekend, but it seemed quite well put together for the price.

Thanks for the recommendations chaps!
