I'm currently and have been for the past 5 years running our clansite on LDU.

I'm looking for a new CMS as LDU community is coming to a sad end with lack of support and lowering member numbers.

So I'm looking for a good CMS that can handle some pages, mostly forum usage with a homepage and perhaps show some server stats and a shout box.

Here is my site at present http://www.kronos1.org it won't win awards but it is functional.

are you wanting a free cms? or are you willing to part with some cash for it?
just looking around for a good free cms system i've seen before, but can't remember the name of, lol

Eww Joomla - bloatware.

Go for Textpattern or Wordpress. The latter is beginning to suffer from bloat and is primarily used for blogging, but also easily doubles up as a CMS.

You could try wordpress, its free and literally takes 5mins to set up on your server. If you cant be bothered completely redesigning a theme there are thousands of free themes you can get and modify for your clan website.

Another is blogsmith, engadget and many popular sites use this, I don't know if it is free though.

Wordpress is pretty good for light CMS duties. This one http://www.ayurvedicmedicine4u.com
is built using Wordpress.

It takes a little time to integrate but once up and running it's a doddle to manage. It does a lot, mod-rewrite, page management, wysiwyg editor and blog. If you need a simple site then it's really good. For more than 10 pages I wouldn't bother.
