Greetings, nutrition experts. In order to watch my weight I normally eat about 300-400 calories per lunchtime to see me through till dinner. However, I find that I get hungry mid afternoon sometimes - but not if I have a lunch which is high in fibre [i.e. beans on toast or something].

Apart from the above, does anyone have any further suggestions for meals? I know what items contain lots of fibre... but can't think of how to put them together.

I think a high protein lunch would stave the hunger pang for longer! Hence why beans on toast fills you up!

Maybe a cold tuna pasta salad or something?

wholemeal roll + steak + beans = gods gift of a sandwich.

other meals may include wholewheat pasta avec sauce et chicken, brocolli's high in fibre too or you could just nibble on some nuts.

protein as well as fibre is important.
A good steak or grilled chicken breast mixed with a a bean and cous-cous salad will keep you going a long time.
