Need a nice headset for FPS's mainly and TS/Mumble

Budget of like 50-70 quid!

Ive got a desk mic but I miss a headset so much since mine was stolen

Plus my desk has no room for a mic really

Any opinions on this?

Agree, avoid anything with "gaming" in the title. This means it's just an average product with a higher price.

come on guys there are some good headsets around what's this non sense that adding a mic to headphones makes them crap instantly?

they blow my sennheiser hd 555 away

why?

head set is no different to a desk mic, except it means you get a ****y pair of headphones in the process.

Optimised how? I don't understand how these can be any better than a set of standalone headphones for the same price. I'm not knocking them as I have never tried them.

In what way? Aren't closed headphones generally inferior when it comes to sound quality?

I have the Creative Fatal1ty HS-980 Professional Gaming Headset MkII, which I cannot really fault, but if I was to buy again now for the same money *edited competitor linking*

I can vouch for the mic as well as I use it when I have my speakers cranked up for gaming.

There were 3 sized earbuds, the middle size fits me perfectly, don't need to hold them. Maybe try the large bud?
