Spec Me A Hotel In Bath

I would avoid room to let by a lonely landlady in Bath.
Reason is, You only need to lookup 'The Landlady' by Roald Dahl.

Boathouse. Lovely place overlooking the river and a few steps away from the park & ride. The food is fantastic too.

Not cheap for a good room but worth every penny.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I've booked a night in the Gainsborough, not cheap but my wife's worth every penny :)

Gainsborough looks lovely, i'm a huge fan of the Royal Crescent Hotel. http://www.royalcrescent.co.uk/ , amazing location, incredible hotel and superb service.

I think the Royal Crescent Hotel is where my boss went recently for the 7 course menu. Said the food was really fantastic if not a little pricey (he is a Northerner so most things are expensive to him :p)

1. They dont do rooms and havent done for some time &
2. Its now a chain pub and the food is very average!

You wont regret it, the wife works for Wessex Water and are owned by YTL the same as the hotel, she won a nights stay with full pamper session and dinner for two, it was amazing and we do lots of spa's but this was in a league all of its own.

You sure? It comes up right away on Booking.com

Dunno about the chain food thing, it's almost three years ago since I stayed there.

Perhaps they have started again, but last time it shut down it needed a complete overhaul as the building was falling apart.
