Hi Guys and Gals,

I am fed up with my keyboard (G510) and mouse (G9) needing so much room. I want something that will comfortably accomodate both so I can game without running out of mouse room.

The tray or desk tray needs to be 32" wide minimum please. I would appreciate any help in this as playing BF3 and hitting my mouse into the keyboard is driving me nuts.

Get down to the auction house and pick up a large dining room table, whack an XXL boogie bug mat on it and attach your monitor to the wall.

Thats what I did anyway, works a treat :D

What the hell is a keyboard and mouse "tray"?

Sounds like you either need a bigger desk or a bigger mousepad. In which case by a Boogie Bug or go to Ikea.

Sorry for the mess. As you can see, I am not limited by space and idealy, I would like to lose the 2 current computer desks (these are ok and fit nicely but look ugly). Also, I love my Roccat Sota mouse pad :)

Maybe build something even with runners?

BTW, the worktop is fixed to the wall and not sitting on the desks.

Well my question would be why don't you just get rid of the desk and put them ON the worktop? Their's plenty of room.

How about just getting a slice of PLAS board and either modifying the existing tray by moving ans crewing in a new bit, or just placing it on top to extend the space.

Maybe the worktop is too high? Anyway I hate keyboard trays.

Same here. If the worktop is too high, lower it and wall mount the LCD's to the correct height. You'd have the entire work surface to use then for a keyboard and mouse. I did a similar thing a few years back when I lived at home. Went to a small family run carpentry shop, paid £20 for a work surface and £15 for a solid steel leg to support the right hand side and loads of small timber to secure the surface to the wall.

Had some serious desktop real estate back then! Was great for games and doing work at due to all the spare room.

It was a fleabay buy for £199 about 4 years ago. Complete luxury and the best buy in chairs I have bought. It does creak abit now but for pure comfort it is well worth it. The back reclines whilst the seat stays still also, so ideal for watching films on my 3D monitor.

I have looked to see if I can find them but no luck.

Shame, look like exactly the kind of chair I need :D If you find one then trust me about it or something. Does it have a name or manufacturer on it?
