I've got my head buried up my own bum on this one.

Just replaced our kitchen and the old white trusty Breville combo now looks a bit off and the missus wants and new set.

I sold the old kitchen / cooker / fridge / sink on the bay for a fair few quid so top budget is £160 however I've decided on this because that's the price of a Duralit combo.

Kitchen is cream with solid oak tops and upstands, magnolia walls and white ceiling, the hob is Baumatic brushed stainless with black cast iron racks, the only other appliance visible is the Baumatic microwave which is brushed stainless as well.

No tiles except a black glass 700mm x 800mm hob splashback.

Not interested in a £10 kettle, yes it works but now I'm balls deep in costs I'm not going to ruin it for a white kettle.

Any suggestions, I searched the forum and the Duralit kettles seem poop in your opinion.

Cheers :)

Why didn't you just say you were gay?

Ha ha ha ah ah ah ah hmmm, drank pints of coffee years ago got sick of the ups and downs, now my energy level is pretty constant all day long, no 3pm lull, no having to have a coffee to get going in the morning, no headaches ever.

We have a Duralit toaster and kettle lol

Although the main reason was for the toaster and we just got a kettle to match.

The Duralit toaster we have at work has lasted years and years with some very heavy usage.

Look at sandstrom stuff I have one of their £60 toasters and its a work of art

I hate to say it, but they are rubbish. They're an own brand dressed up as premium wares. I'm afraid you netted dsg quite a good margin there.

Bosch are decent and look good too. Breville are reliable, and we've started selling this red polkadot set that seems to be quite popular for its retro appeal.

Buy whatever stainless steel kettle they have on offer in Tesco. I've had £50 kettles that have lasted half the time as a £15 Tesco job. There really is no point at all in spending more. I agree that the cheapo white ones are crap though. In my experience all toasters are crap.
