A nice keyboard with wrist rest, media keys would be nice although not an essential.

£30 max, although I would stretch a little if I saw something really nice.

Thanks

Wireless or wired?
Gaming grade or heavy typing?
Low-profile keys or standard?
Ergonomic or standard?

Im using the saitek eclipse 2, great keyboard. But then as the previous poster mentions it depends on your personal taste with appearance and what you use your pc for.

Wired

I assume gaming grade keys are one that you dont have to hit with a sledge hammer for them to register. If so, gaming grade.

Standard Profile

Non Ergonomic/Standard

Was looking at that also. What are the usb ports on it like? 1.1 or 2.0?

From what I remember they're 1.1.

TBH if you want my real recommendation go with a £10-13 standard Qwerty keyboard. IMHO USB ports, illuminated keys, lcd displays... waste of money.

Well I was thinking a buying the keyboard I already have (Clicky) as mines started to go funny now, but then I thought I might treat myself to something more luxurious.

at the end of the day though it's a keyboard. It's not some definition-of-self it's a thing for typing on. THIS! is the keyboard I have been using for the last 4 years, every one of my computers has it. Nice soft keys and a decent price.

I'd like to agree with you, but i just can't. Sure, it's enough for most people, but there are features of high end keyboards that make using the computer simply funner. Such as rubberised keys, low profile keys, ergonomic design and backlights. I can't tell you how many times i've wished i had a backlit keyboard, to save me having to turn the light on. That probably saves a lot of energy as well. But yes, i can't imagine justifying over £30 on one.

Ok, I think Ill just buy the same one I have right now, never had any problems with it after over 4 years anyhow, untill now, W and A keys are starting to stick a bit.

Thanks guys!

Save up your moneys, until you have about 50 quid, and then buy a Razor Lycosa Mirror Edition... You will not be disappointed, its is probably the nicest looking thing you have ever set your eyes on...

you should probably get out more ;)
Im not a fan of the Razor stuff, and $65 (wheres the pound sign on an American keyboard?) is way too steep.

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard.

When I bought it, it was a bit overpriced, but its came down since then. Still a little over you budget but its honestly a joy to type on (im half way through a 15000 dissertation and it was all done on this bad boy)

Multimedia keys work brilliantly.
Its looks awesome.
Backlit so its great for night usage.
Nice palm rest.

No brainer.
