Uhmm my eyes may betray me.. but I can't see a PSU to power it all? Plus he said he already have a monitor, yet there is one in the spec.. although he did not say which one he had so yours may be much better though! :p

Cheers

i gotta 24 inch ultra sharp dell monitor.i was thinking whats the fastest hard drive setup i mean having 1 ultrafast HD just for fast booting and a seperate HD for storing games etc is this a gd idea ?

Also is it better to get a extreme quad or just stick with the cheapest quad ? i mean i want be encoding whilst playing games so maybe it want be tht important will a e6700 fill my needs for gaming ?

1kw enermax galaxy, add that on.

as for the gfx cards, go for either a single 8800gtx, OR better off with 2 x 2900 cards, from the benchmarks the 2900 scales better in corssfire than gtx does in sli. end result with be similar performance from both sli and crossfire setups with crossfire being cheaper.

unless nvidia sort out sli drivers.

No P35, only 2GB RAM, no Quad Core, only 300GB HDD space? Not exactly £2500 worth of PC.

Theres no point in starting a flame war over computer specs now really...

For £2500 I would expect a highly future proof computer with ALL the latest hardware. Quadcore will be very usefull in 1/2 years with all the DX10 games coming out (crysis :D ).

Not too sure about DDR3 also.

I would say melbournes spec is the best there marginally. Not too sure about the PhysX though, drop that and get the PSU he mentioned to stay somewhere near budget. Depends on how much HDD space is needed (2tb  )

Wouldnt a single 8800GTX pretty much dominate any current game? Why not buy one and save your money for then next gen card?

Why dont you just get a Quad core and one GTX and 4GB of Memory and then when Nvidias new cards come out upgrade to one of them, that will be better in the long run.

yes good idea :),I need some opinions: do I wait till the intel price cuts and hope that the QX6700 will drop in price ? or do i go for a Q6600 now ?

will the Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
(£91.64) £77.99 be enough juice ?

thx

Mach II or Vapochill LS - £550

PC Power & Cooling 750w - £130

Vista 64-bit Ultimate - £130

Total: £2,434

Just gotta choose a case... I'd got for a Lian-Li PC60 to sit on top of your Vapochill / Mach II.

** NB **

This system will be awesome and dont forget, you will always have the Vapochill / Mach II and these can be used for all of your next CPU's in effect making your CPU the best by a long way, much better "value" than two top end gfx cards that will be worth nothing in two years!

You will never appreeciate the power of the Freon cooling until you try it!
