Spec me a leather jacket

Thats nice.

I have the Fight Club one but in black not red.

http://www.soulrevolver.com/mayhem---redwhite-94-p.asp

I got the red one for my Bro one birthday and the stupid bugger left it round someones house one night after getting very drunk!

God damn! It's always AFTER I get something that I realise I could have got a film replica jacket that looks badass :O

I wish I got either the Fightclub one or Wolverine one now!

Edit*

I might have to have 2 leather jackets soon I think :p

Rather old thread, but still pertinant... just thought i'd chip in and say that today I tried on the following leather jacket:

Superdry Super Brad jacket http://www.superdrystore.com/view/20213/

It is completely different to the oher "regular" Brad jacket, and looks 10x better. The leather and lining are much thicker and have some substance, and a high quality look and feel that I can imagine being very durable. The style is very sharp in my opinion, and the fit is exceptional... and trust me I am very difficult to cater for in that area. The only caveat I can see is the collar is very large... I spent 10 minutes looking at it while I was wearing it, not quite sure what to make of it. Barring that, it's easily the best looking leather jacket I have ever worn.

The Superdry brand may be getting more common here, but where I live it's relatively unheard of... so I imagine the jacket would give me a fairly unique look. I'm seriously considering buying one this week. :)

Leather jackets are NOT about brand names, whether it's Superdry or Versace, it's about getting some decent leather in a timeless design which will last you 10 years or more and look cooler as it ages - you definitely don't want one with a daft metal badge on it displaying a brand name. If you buy a decent leather jacket, people will know you paid a lot of money for it, you don't need a sign to highlight the fact. As for Bench being "out of fashion", that gets another LOL. The fact that you follow "fashion" is enough to ignore your advice from the off. Personal style is what you're after, not whatever rubbish the brand names are telling you to wear this season.

Exactly. My leather jacket cost me over £300 about ten years ago, the style of the leather maans that it looked worn when I got it but looks more so now as it's developed a fantastic patina over the years. No 'fashion' items will last as long or wear as well. The only thing wrong with it now is that the pockets have all worn so I need to get them replaced. Oh and it's a bit snug around my tum now :)

Hilarious thread if only for someone to **** off bench then go round suggesting superdry :D :D

My wife dragged me to the Mulberry factory shop last week. After sitting outside in the car for an hour I decided to venture inside and see what she was doing.

They had a huge sale on and I ended up buying a leather jacket that was originaly priced at £2000 for £200. Really nice leather and cut - almost afraid to wear it out in the rain it's so nice.

Well chaps, I ended up buying the following in London:

All Saints Altamont Leather Jacket
http://www.allsaints.com/product/?a...d=206&&prod_desc_id=5051214525563&position=43

It looks the complete dogs danglies... no branding, just a "different" and somewhat rare look compared to the usual fare available. The leather is very high quality and thicker then I thought it would be. I wore it on the way home and noted many appreciative looks. :D

I like it, not sure on the colour and what seem to be long arms?!

How much was it?

Colour is fine (I wondered about it too when I first saw it, but it's darker than it looks on the page), and the arms are normal length, they probably just look longer because it's not a "long" jacket. The price is on the webpage.

I'll take a pic later if poss so you can see for yourself. I'm a normally proportioned size guy so if it looked odd i'd have noticed straight away. :)

I've had the regular Superdry Brad jacket for over three years now.
While I think it's a great looking jacket, I also hate it.

Reason for that, is simply the fact that you can't wear it without running into at least one person also wearing it. It started getting really silly when three of the guys I work with also got them!

Primark even made some dodgy knock offs, which they got into trouble for. In the article here, Superdry says they had sold 70,000 of the jackets, and that was over two years ago!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/may/28/david-beckham-jacket-primark-superdry

So all I'm saying really is just be careful you don't buy a jacket that you don't always want to wear, because you will run into others wearing it.

Already sorted mate http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=15562406&postcount=54 :D

But yeah I can imagine how p0opular the Brad jacket became after Becks wore it... every charver and his grandma proably wanted to emulate the look!

Yeah iam a slim build...as you say iam sure the colour is nice its hard to say from a photo. Doubt I coudl justify to spend 300notes on a jacket tho.

If there's one thing I do justify spending a bit of moolah it's a nice jacket. They are one of the most important parts of your wardrobe and can last ages if you invest in something high quality.

I also bought this:

G-Star Decoy Trench Wool Garber http://www.usc.co.uk/G-Star-Decoy-Trench-Wool-Garber/00148610304200,default,pd.html

Looks awesome when on, very fitted. Also made of very thick material, and the quality of workmanship is superb. Well worth the 195 nicker I paid.

So yeah... I spent 470 quid on jackets this holiday, but at least I egt VAT back due to living out of the country, so that's a 70 quid saving. :)
