spec me a linux server pc

Hi all. can u help me spec a server pc that needs the following requirements:

  • Run multiple servers at once(web, tomcat, SabNZB, SQL, GIT/Gerrit etc))
  • able to connect a minimum of 6 hdd's in the case and mobo
  • wisper slient
  • cool running
  • Able to run ubuntu server easily

What i need:

  • Multicore CPU
  • RAM
  • MOBO(with intergrated gpu)
  • Mid tower case that can hold 6 hdd's
  • possibly a passive cpu cooler

budget. £200.

Preference, Intel but dont mind AMD if its cheaper and better for the money.

that comes to £224.92 which is slightly over but that gives you 4 cores to play with and 1gb per thread allowing enough for ubuntu server or any linux server

either of these builds would do you rightly, i for fun was testing ubuntu server out you can run it off a pentium 4 with 1gb of ram, it being command line and ubuntu is not very cpu intensive so you can run it of basically anything

i previously ran my server on a old pentum 4 norhwood and it ran fine but its dead now

good old single core pentiums mine acc still runs just dont realy use it much anymore got a new build on the way this week and am gonna use a tri amd athlon instead see what i can do with that

and yeah have a look at the hp miniservers they7 arent bad like jamesfreddie said
