Spec me a Man Shed

I have decided to just buy a shed as there is going to be loads of work in removing the old shed and carting it 50 odd meters to a skip. Then I will have 70 x concrete slabs to bring in the opposite direction if I go slabs for the base .

There is a local shed and fence builders that I found on the web. they have apparently been in business for 20 odd years so their sheds must be pretty decent quality.

Belton Apex Garden Shed 10' x 8' = £659

16mm x 125mm tongue and groove cladding
38mm x 50mm framing
16mm floor boards
3mm horticultural glass
Galvanized nails used
Water based wood preservative treatment
Roofing felt
Eaves height 1830mm

They delivery all over the UK and erect it free within 50 miles of Rochdale. Although I asked if they can supply me with the kit and I'll build myself. I'll report back on the quality if I decide to get it.

EDIT: Went to look at this shed and its 12mm cladding, the sizes quoted on thge site are before machining. Ahh well, back to square one.

With it being glorious shed building weather the past few days, has the OP or anyone else built their shed or base yet?

Nein. Ours came last week and is still sitting stood up next to our house, as sheltered as it can be.

Need to dig the footings - which I aim to do tomorrow. Other stuff has gotten in the way - birthdays, getting drunk etc. ;)

You guys suck, still no shed pics :p. Its been unbelievably nice weather lately, perfect for building a shed. Mine has arrived today but I cant build it yet as I'm waiting for the concrete pads for the base to dry.

I went for a premium pressure treated one made from 16mm T&G. Bit more than I wanted to spend but hopefully this will last a long time. I rang around a few local places and they didnt do pressure treated cladding so decided against building my own. There wont be much room at all to treat the sides in the future so pressure treated was a must.

I'm wondering whether to give it a couple of coats of Ronseal shed preserver as a secondary layer of protection while its in pieces. Or would it affect the pressure treatment in some way?
