¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Right, I've got some mince I need to use up, but I'm board on chilli-con-carne so can you guys/gals suggest anything else?

I've got:
1lb of mince
loads of potatos
carrots
onions
1/2 a pepper
garlic

plus quite a lot of stuff tinned like tomatos, tuna, beans, etc.

So, what could I make? Something spicey would be good, I'm pretty open minded when it comes to food. :) Unfortunately, I'm out of spam, so I can't make a meal with that. ;)

Im sure u could make some sort of Shephards pie remix type thing. Mince, n the veg / tinned tomatoes / garlic etc, then cover it in mashed potato - there you go.

Cottage pie is fantastic but it doesn't traditionally contain tomatoes ;).

Lots of Lee + Perrins is good. Maybe a little mustard too in the meat or the mash.

Wouldn't add the mince to the veg, unless you like burnt onions, garlic and carrots as you need a high heat to brown mince. Brown the mince in a seperate pan.

:o,

the mince will cool the pan immensely, the onions/garlic wont burn.

Well, I liked the idea of a "cottage pie remix", so I thought I'd try something different. I didn't have any cornflour, but the gravy granuals did the job. :) Mustard is a good idea tho... I really need to get some more, as I have it on everything. I used a little chilli powder and tabasco sauce in the meat & veg.

Here it is... I'm rather stuffed now, as I ate quite a bit.

I managed it ok in the same pan... Nothing got burnt, as the fat in the mince stopped things from going black. ;)
