As thread title.

I currently am running a desktop AM3 955 System with a GTX 560ti.

I'd like to re-use as many components as possible. Dont think there's many AM3 Mini ITX boards so I'm willing to buy a new CPU if needed.

Parts I have which I assume can be re-used:

560ti
4gb DDR3
500gb HDD
60gb SSD
PSU
Monitor
Keyboard and Mouse (Wired though so will probably need to look at wireless)

Cheapest possible option would be great.

Thanks.

Assuming you require a PSU and are wanting to Overclock...

If you don't want to Overclock at the moment you could always go with the i3 which would save you around £85. Upgrade to i5 at a later date if you wanted too...

The case is wonderful (I have one..soon to be two!) but there are cheaper available.

Modular PSU is a godsend in smaller cases!

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £98.99
1 x BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case - Midnight Black £64.99
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX550M High Performance 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020001-UK) £59.99
Total : £408.96 (includes shipping : FREE).

What kind of budget do you have to work with?

Need a PSU?

Intend on Overclocking?

assuming you don't need OS/Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor etc...?

No real budget in mind. Thats why I say, cheap as possible. But still a fairly decent spec for gaming.

Not looking to overclock tbh. Doesn't interest me.

If you want it as cheap as possible go with an i3 for the time being, that way you can always upgrade when you have extra cash, and the i3 is a great CPU for the money.

Case is up to you though, but this one has lots of room inside, good cable management, looks the dogs dingdongs too :)

Thanks! looks great. Will a standard PSU be ok for this build though? Or is space quite limited?

Also, CPU cooler... Currently rocking a Corsair A50. i presume it won't fit in this build?

yes theres enough space for a large PSU in there. yours should fit for sure.

the A50 also fits this build socket wise.. but not sure about height... i'm using the stock cooler with mine at the moment!

There's a clc on offer today at £25 with getting an i3 I'd be inclined to go for that, if you where to spend the extra on the h80 I would say don't bother with that and an i3 just get an ivy i5 right away, may as well invest now instead of losing money on an i3 when you could have had the best straight away.

the BitFenix does sit nicely beside a TV :)

Like above, its not small, but its not huge either.

I like it that much I'm getting rid of my main Corsair Graphite White 600T case and shrinking it down into a Prodigy :)
