For most people spenmding 2£ on a jar that stops them wasting their loose change is an insignificant investment

I use the bottom half of a very large Shisha/Hookah pipe. I've never smoked it and I've no idea where it came from but it makes a great change jar as the neck if very narrow and the bottom very large.

Last year the contents paid for the Christmas champagne so not a complete waste of time.

Ended up with about £50 in my piggy just before I left uni (not sure at what point in the year I'd last emptied it), so that paid for my ball ticket and that.

I've got a huge Bells Whiskey bottle, I fill that up with 1,2,5,10,20's.

I filled it up half way last year, changed it up as it was hard times at uni and got £40 out of it.

I am a big fan of the Terramundi Pot.

The only way to get the money out is to smash it open.

Once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full upon which time it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things', they bring good fortune.

I've two large coffee jars.

One for all change below £1, and another for £1 and £2.

Means I don't have to carry change around, don't waste it on crap etc. I have yet to count it, but my change one is now full, so I'm going to count it tomorrow.

i emptied 1 full demijohn and expected £100 and got £420 so i was happy
