Spec me a mountain bike

Which bars would you recommend? and why would the previous owner swapped the front and back brake around?

I run 720mm bars myself, and even though they are only a few inches shorter than my older bars, I much prefer the wider bars.

As for the brakes, most likely personal preference. Swap 'em back if you like. I prefer front brake on the right as I'm used to that setup on motorbikes.

I doubt the brakes have been swapped over at all:
1- Front on the right is standard setup for UK bikes.
2- Those levers are not swappable and wont work if you have them on the wrong side.

Unless the hoses were removed from the levers and swapped that way.

Being a 2011 kona it probably came from Europe so the shop probabaly swapped them.round at the build. 8mm spanner and you can swap them.without even bleeding.

Easy mode if you are fussed about the brakes
