Spec me a mounting application

I think Acronis and Daemon Tools do offerings. Are there any others (preferably free)? I just need to mount a few dvd images and read from them.

Ok this is a strange one. What does "application not found" refer to?

I have mounted the *.iso files, and while being able to access their contents - I can't actually run anything if that makes any sense.

dvd/cds usually contain autorun.inf files which automatically launch the setup file when inserted. it looks like the autorun.inf in that iso is pointing at something which is not a valid application.

I've just opened it up and it appears fine, it's pointing to the right file (with right name too).

It's weird if I explore into the Setup.exe file and double click it - it's running according to Windows Task Manager...I just don't "see" anything/nothing happens

that is suspicious behaviour if you ask me. not you, the file...

Are the ISOs legit? I've never had a problem with VCD.

Did you tinker with the "Buffered I/O" setting? If yes, change it back to default.
