Spec Me A Mouse, Razer Mice Feel Too Cheap

Looking for a mouse that is hardy, What I mean by this is that I have the Razer Ouroboros and while I really like it the rough texturing came away after only a few weeks, The side buttons are silver and the edges of them have worn away to reveal black plastic, The mouse wheel squeaks, Overall it just feels cheap.

And the most annoying thing about all this is, I haven't used it much and it looks like a pro gamer has used it.

So I'm looking for a replacement that is very well built, Reliable, Looks good and doesn't have annoying things such as textured surfaces that wear away after a few weeks.

Any info is appreciated :)

Steel Series Sensei
Best mouse I've bought. Classic shape, not too many funky buttons and IMO built like a tank. Very solid feeling

Umm, did you try cheap razer mouse?
I have my Abyssus for almost 2 years and it still works great, is silent - can barely hear clicks, only 3 keys and scroll, but its most basic model afer all.

Thanks for the recommendation :)

I've had a few Razer mice and they all show signs of "Wear" pretty quickly which to me is a sure sign of bad build quality.

Logitech G500s for £60

Feels like a solid mouse and can't go wrong with logitech. Always build long lasting gear and have great customer service should anything go wrong.

As above, logitech are fantastic. Had my G700 for 3 years and at the first sign of a problem I called Logitech and they sent me a brand new G700S within 2 days. Fantastic support! Hard to find anything that matches the quality and feel either.

I'd also reccomend Mionix, they're pretty unknown at the moment but their mice are fantastic and top quality. They seem to genuinely care about making a unique and useable mouse, instead of Razer who rely on their nasty marketing.

Any wear happened i.e textured sureface come away ?
The 'texture' is a sort-of rubbery grippy surface along either side and it's absolutely mint.
The only wear is a slight fading of a tiny corner of the CM STORM lettering along the top edge. From very excessive use, that is literally it!

I've been using my G700S since the day they were released and that too is is mint condition. It *feels* less solid than the Inferno, but has held up just as well.

I used a Roccat Kova[+] too, but despite functioning great that one *is* looking worn!

My Razer mouse needs tlc to keep it working. When it finally dies I expect to return to Logitech.

This.

I have been through so many damn mice but this Sensei I own is great, it even tops my EC2 Evo, which is an amazing mouse.

I have a Razer Naga and it looks as good as the day I bought it, about 18 months old now.

I dont know what you guys are doing with yours!!

Just using them, The trouble with a lot of Razer mice is they use cheap paint on the "Metallic" sections and cheap textured finishes that rub off after a short amount of time even through normal use.
