Spec me a NEW case !!!

Sweet as :D Can anyone tell me if the CM690 has a bottom monted PSU or not?

Not bothered either just would like to know, purely for practical reasons such as wireing ETC...

TBH i'd definately stretch my budget to this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-115-LL&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=187

It's a great price for a fabulous case. Lots of room and you probably won't have to upgrade it ever.

Only has 1 120mm fan in the front but you could easily add a lian li fan mount in three of the 5.25" bays.

It's got plenty of space to add watercooling later (you could fit a 120.3 rad in the roof) and you can even mount the PSU in the base.

In the P182 (& Silverstone TJ-09, Coolermaster C690; Cosmos), you can face the PSU downwards, so the fan is mounted at the bottom, thus expelling heat straight out of the case. Plus the Antec has a compartmentalised design to stop PSU heat from reaching the motherboard, etc.

The fan you're talking about is an intake, is it not? In which case, it will bring cool air from outside the case, cooling the PSU and expelling it out the rear, thus having no effect whatsoever on case temps.

Yeah, I meant that it'd suck the air upwards straight into the PSU, then expel it immediately through the back of the PSU, thus having no impact on case components. Basically what you just wrote.

Hmmm might just get me a P182 dont like the door but sounds like it meets my needs. The side panel on the 900 and the pretty (cough) lights was putting me of alittle tbh ye i know i could have changed the fans to none led but kinda makes the case not worth the money then. Thanks for all the input.

Update ..Got a P182 in the end found it around the same price as the 900.Got to wait 5 days cause i wanted free dev. cant moan 81 all in.

First things first though:
1) Move the bottom fan to the middle slot so that it blows towards the GFX card.
2) Remove the bracket in front of the PSU, which is where the fan you just moved was. Just drill through the pop rivets that hold it (two bottom, two top) with a 3mm drill bit.
