Spec Me A New Computer.

as Above you want to be looking at the following things

1) Q6600 Processor
2) 8800 GT
3) 2gb of RAM (4 is a waste, you can only use 3 in 32bit Systems)
4) Case of your choice
5) Seagate 7200.11 / Westerdn Digital AAKS drive (faster than samsung and wont be audible above the noise of an 8800 GT fan)
6) IP35 Pro based motherboard (the abit one in your screenshot is fine)
7) reasonable PSU for not too much money (Corsair one seems to fit fine)

Ahhh nice one guys, cheers,
OCUK don't sell the 64 bit XP....I'm sure I looked 5 times...(where could I purchase one from?)

As for Overclocking, if its as easy as your say, then theres a fat chance I may end up giving it a go sometime(mildly overclock it) - So should I stick with the similar spec I posted?

Screen wise - I don't think thats a must right now, most importantly is getting a system built then the screen can come in at later date, I'm thinking the 24" Samsung which my bro just got, its now just under £300

Ok my spec no. 3
I have taken all your advice,
As for HDD, I plan on having 2 of the same, but for now I'm getting 1 of 2

This setup would is for big-screen/home theater system and Uni use for cad, photoshop. The card chosen seems like the perfect choice!

i would also change the MB to a p35 chipset based one as the MB you picked features a 975X chipset which isnt that good at OCign a q6600 and is old tech

What If I don't plan on overclocking? would the "ASUS P5W DH Deluxe" be good enough for what Im trying to build?
I want this mobo for its "Digital Home" Feature... (the remote) but there are no upto date mobo's with this feature?
Should I risk buying the board I want OR get something such as the Asus P5KC Combo Intel P35 for future proofing?

I'm pretty much set on what spec i want, its just down to choosing the mobo now....
