Spec me a new Induction Hob.

please don't buy de detrich, right now I've got that off my chest I repair under warranty for Electrolux group and Beko group and have very little problems with any of there induction hobs :)

What's wrong with De Dietrich? I got one and it seems ok for the price I paid (£200).

Power boards are crap, if you get any issues with it i'd almost guarantee it to be atleast one but more likely all of them, there technical department is beyond a joke i went to repair a tepenyaki (sp?) and an induction and whilst there customer asked me about his gas wok burner. Six months later despite lots of calls to the tech department for something I/we weren't involved in for initial repair still no response and all I think it is was is a setup for bypass.

Do you do any work for Teka? :D

Part of service force, so electrolux group, but we do stuff for connect distribution so see a little bit of variety, and then warranty for Beko, Rangemaster, fagor. Yourself?

Same as you really, we are independents but do the work exclusively for some brands.

Followed up some Service Force engineers too. :D :D

I love rangemaster cookers, odd issue with fsd's being obsolete but find them nice to work on only done a couple of bits of their refrigeration which seems to be admiral stuff :)

Is it all models that are affected? What sort of age are the ones that go? What are their warranty repairs like?

Don't know there complete range but seen a lot of different models over the years, they do a repair policy where you pay up front circa £200 and then appliance fixed no matter whats wrong. I've been to couple of month old ones and a few years old, personally think it's down to how it handles electrical supply. Warranty repairs aren't down by them but various different repair companies, so you could get a good on or not, however i've had plenty of customers complain of poor response in even getting to register an issue.
I only ever see the poorly ones though so you may have a good un :)

Good question, I did a wee search before I posted and I thought it was the latest version of hobs, maybe not!

Latest tech, not the best.

Gas is still superior.

It's windows 8 vs windows 7, the new one has some novelties, the old one is more practical and a serious tool for producing good work.
