Spec me a new internet provider

Fed up of Virgin and their lies. They took a perfectly good service called Telewest and tore it apart.

I've cancelled after being cable for 10 years.

A new BT line will be installed soon but which ADSL/2 provider should I go for ?

What about BT Infinity which is apparently coming to my exchange at the end of the month ?

Any help on value for money ADSL would be great guys

Well ADSL depends on your line; condition and length.

But O2 / Be LLU are your best ISP for ADSL2+ unless you look at VDSL(FTTC)

Yeah VDSL will be available at the end of the month which ironically is the same day Virgin is disconnected

So I'm in a pickle ADSL or wait for VDSL ? :/

link I would wait for vdsl But i'm not sure you can go with anybody but bt to begin with at least, but i could be wrong. Also I wouldn't depend on that date.

Yeah I've been a bit dumb. Seems like sam actually does know and has all the information in one place. They've changed the site a lot since I last visited

Yeah with regards to BT fibre it says ...

FTTC should be available in your area from 01/12/2010

Downstream Min: 18.8 Mbps
Downstream Max: 33.1 Mbps
Upstream Min: 8.5 Mbps
Upstream Max: 14.9 Mbps

- I might just go with ADSL2 tbh - I'm not a big downloader
