Hi Guys

I wanna get sucked into a new time sink

Last game I really got into was Diablo 3, whored that and loved it but got bored after about 3 months. It was a good chalenge though, And I felt like I'd atually achieved somthing by beating it on inferno.

Now, I feel the need for an MMORPG. I want a modern game with lots of eye candy, and of course, I want good gameplay.

Will listen to both F2P and P2P options.

What do we think?
 
Good luck in your search I have played a good few an none seem to cut the mustard so far. Maybe my standards are too high :D:D
 
Try RIFT first as it's recently went F2P. GW2 is constantly improving but it's a love or hate thing, doesn't seem to be much middleground.

I played GW2 at launch and then stopped and recently went back. They've added load's of content but the initial 'wow' period doesn't seem to last long for me.

I'll tell you what I think; what you're asking for doesn't exist. You have to make a choice between good atmosphere and design with decent depth by going back a few years or playing a game with good graphics, draw distances, animations and UI but not a lot else by playing a modern game. Next to nothing combines the two any more.

Take it you've never heard of TERA? Prettiest MMO out and it's combat system/depth are miles ahead of absolutely everything else.
 
If I were you I'd wait for the next round of MMOs.

Wildstar / Elder Scrolls Online / Everquest Next / Camelot Unchained / ArcheAge / Black Desert / Blade & Soul

Will be something there for you I'm sure.

Agree with this. Saw Elders Scrolls Online at recent Eurogamer and Expo and it looked really good.
 
TERA is probably my favourite MMO other than WoW. Wildstar/Blade and Soul come out early 2014 I think too, excited for those.
 
Downloading rift now, so will give that a try

Also aplied for beta access for elder scrolls online

Wish they'd remove jump from these games, people jump when walking past because they hate my name or my gear or something.

Bought it at launch and ground my way to the mid 40s before giving in, mindless and repetitive were the 2 words that came to mind and combat was very slow paced.

Not seen much since to convince me to return, it didn't look to have much of an endgame.

Perhaps I have grown out of them but can't get away with any MMO's nowadays. Wasted £25 on blinking FFXIV, highly doubt I'll get another again unless its free and f2p. Dota2 suits me just fine (even though I suck :D)
