Since they came out I've always used a MS 'Banana' Mouse.

Last night after about 10 years of faithful service it stopped working. After a reboot it came back to life but the wheel doesnt work!

So, I need antoher mouse. I'd like it to be similar to this one as I'm so used to it.

What are my options?

Do you want optical or wireless?

If optical then this should do you for day to day stuff.

Or if you want to spend the extra little bit of cash and do some gaming then get this.

I bought one last week and it rocks!!!!! :D

edit: lmao @ banana mouse :p

Basic MS mouse: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-026-MS&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=3

Intermediate MS intellimouse 3 (what i use at work, well loved mouse by a lot of people) : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-060-MS&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=3

Gaming mouse Razer deathadder: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-023-RA&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=3

The closest in shape is probably the intellimouse, but none of them are going to be the same. Obviously the price increaces from basic to gamer, but then so does the quality of mouse. By the sounds of it either the basic or intellimouse should do the job for you as your old mouse wasn't a "performance" mouse.

edit: Logitech mice are good too (as above) but a lot of it is down to personal preference.

Thanks for the replies :)

I think I'll upgrade to optical but I'll keep it connect and not wireless.

I'm so use to this mouse I managed to hold my own at most online game. Its going to feel really alien to change after so long. I like the look of the Intellimouse 3 however I've never got on well with side buttons!

If you want a mouse with no side buttons then the mouse wiggins reccomended for daily use <click> is probably your best shot.

If you do game and can get used to the side buttons the intellimouse or the deathadder would be great.

edit: I have the intellimouse at work and a razer diamondback (not the deathadder) at home and i have a hard time deciding which is better. The intellimouse despite not have the latest and greatest in technology holds its own and i expect it would be similar with the deathadder.
